I finally bought myself some rainboots! After months of wanting them and too many days of them sitting in my cart online I finally got some.
I bought them on Amazon for $32, which is honestly more money than I usually spend on clothes or shoes but I figured since I wanted them for long enough it will be worth it.
I do have to say I feel a little silly though wearing them. Like I should be wading through a pond searching for frogs. Which I have absolutely no desire to do so.
So those of you that own rainboots, how often do you wear them and do you wear them all day or just when you're walking to and from places when it's raining?
I have some fun polka dotted rain boots, but I have the same problem...I don't know when to wear them either! Usually I just wear them when I'm actually in the rain, but I hate carrying shoes around and having to put my wet boots somewhere. I love yours though!

ReplyDeleteI love my rainboots but I don't wear them as often as I would like just because I feel like I can only wear them when the weather calls for it. Which stinks because I think you can make so many cute outfits wearing rainboots.

I think I've worn my Kavik (I think that's the brand) 3 or 4 times. Let's face it, I never go out in the rain.

I have a pair of hot pink rain boots with a slight heel (wedge!) and I wear them wherever it rains. I am sure I look funny and I squeak around but I just can't help it. love them!

I see people wear them all day and think they look adorable, but I always feel silly with them on when I'm not walking in the pouring rain! I SWORE by them in college, it rained all the time where I went to school and I lived in them!

I love my bright rain boots but I only wear them when it's pouring out and I have to run in and out of car a million times... or walk somewhere... or just feel like rain boots that day. So I wear them a lot. ;)

ReplyDeleteYou are so funny! They look great on you and I love the color! I wear mine to and from work when it's raining but change into my regular shoes once I'm there. But if I'm running errands etc, I end up wearing them all day.

Yay for finally getting rainboots! They look so cute on you, and love that cardi. If it's raining I usually wear mine to work then change, but if it's a weekend and raining all day I'll incorp them into my outfit..usually over skinny jeans or leggings, or with a skirt if it's warm :)

You look adorable, love the cardi and the rain boots! I wear my rain boots all day, mostly because I'll wear them to work when it's raining out. By the time I leave work, it's usually not raining anymore and perfectly sunny. But I don't mind, I feel like rain boots are acceptable for whatever kind of weather nowadays!

ReplyDeleteI only wear my rainboots to and from somewhere, or at least so far I've only done that. Rainboots would be uncomfortable and not professional enough for the office so they strictly are just worn to serve their purpose in the rain.
I do wear them outside in the yard though but I normally wouldn't wear them as part of an outfit.
I do love that cardigan!
I have polka dot rainboots and here in Portland they're kind of a fashion statement. As long as I'm not going to work, I'll wear them all day! :-)

ReplyDeleteI can pretty much guarantee you won't regret buying them especially with all the rain we had this past spring! I bring them camping all the time (not sure if you camp but they certainly come in handy) and I wear them during the winter to just run in and out of work. Plus now you can jump in puddles with your little girl next spring! It's the little things :)
