High Five for Friday

shirt & skirt: old navy  shoes: ?

1.  While I love this skirt, I feel like it is a weird length and maybe not very flattering on my short legs.  Wishing it was a maxi skirt or a tad bit shorter.

2.  I have been wanting a shirt with birds on it for a long time.  One kind of like this:

Mossimo Supply Co. Juniors Tunic Top - Assorted Prints.Opens in a new window
It is only $11.49 online at Target.
I hardly ever buy anything online but am strongly considering this.

3. I found this note on one of my students' desk the other day:

Circle yes or no?  It's funny that they are serious.

4.  This week was teacher appreciation week.  One of the days the students could bring in different sweets or goodies for the teacher.

One in particular knew exactly what to give me to make me happy.

And you'd be so impressed to know that it sat on my desk for two days straight and I did not eat any and then brought them home.
After your comments on this post, apparently you all are addicted to sweets as well.
I have to report that I am dramatically improving and there have been many days in the last few weeks that I have gone dessert/sweets free!

5.  There are 17 days left of school.

SO ready for summer!!

Have a great weekend!

  3. I ate a dang Snickers bar for lunch yesterday because it's "bring your teacher candy" week. I could write a book on the stuff kids write. I save it all and share it with my husband. It's definitely entertaining :)
    Happy weekend!

  5. Buy the shirt! Buy the shirt! Online shopping is my absolute favorite. I got a mason jar full of M&Ms and chocolate chip/butterscotch cookies... I am so tempted to snack now, but umm... it's 10pm. What's a teacher to do? Ha! Have a wonderful weekend!

  8. Love the print on that skirt and it looks great with a chambray top!

That note made me laugh, kids are so silly. I remember asking and being asked lame questions like that in elementary school!

  9. That skirt is so cute, but I know what you mean about that length - I always feel weird in it too. Looks cute on you though - perfect with the little kitten heels :) Have a great weekend Katie!

  10. I love bird shirts! You should totally get that one. For me personally, midi length skirts are tough to wear. I think you look fine - cute and comfy! - but I can see how they're a little more challenging than knee length. My mom is a teacher, so I mean it when I say thank you for what you do!

  13. That bird shirt is so cute! Just be careful with ordering from Target online. I ordered something and they sent it, but along with someone else's item. When I took it back to Target, they said it happens ALL the time with the online site :/ Have a great weekend, Katie!

  15. I'm with you on that skirt!! I tried it on at Old Navy cuz I loved it, but not so much on. You're right, it either needs to be longer and shorter. And buy that shirt!! It's so cute and a good deal. You know.... most of the time if you spend $50, they ship for free... just sayin' :)

  18. I like this look but if you think the skirt is weird length maybe you can shorten it? Hope you have a great weekend!

  21. The skirt is so cute! But I understand what you mean about the length. It's kind of a weird inbetween the knees and ankles length.
    And.. jelly beans! Yummy!
