tank top: old navy sweater: kohls pants & wedges: target
1. This looks practically identical to an outfit I just posted. Maroon pants and polka dots. These may be the only pair of non maternity pants that are still comfortable so I intend to wear them often.
You can believe that before I knew what we were having I was already busy pinning ideas and planning for our baby girl or boy. So my next four things are things that I am loving for our baby!
2. After making my elephant stuffed animal and elephant canvas, I just ordered this fabric to make a crib skirt. Then I may have reached my elephant limit.
3. I love how this closet is organized and love the tree wall decal:
4. I think the idea of turning an ultrasound into a canvas is so neat, and want this light green color in the nursery.
5. And I am also excited for baby showers, which means
baby shower invitations. I recently found the company
tiny prints, which has all things baby and kids. Meaning I will be checking it out for
birth announcements too! There are so many cute options
, but I think these are two of my favorite invitations:
Speaking of baby showers, that means registering! Chris and I are planning on starting this weekend and I am a little overwhelmed! Feel free to tell me your favorite few things that I should register for!
Hope you have a great weekend!!
that is a cute nursery i would have loved to have one like that when Little man was little
ReplyDeleteI've never seen an ultrasound turned canvas. Such a cool idea!! Have fun registering...I'm sure it's overwhelming, but exciting too!
ReplyDeletenumber one baby item: fisher price rock and play sleeper. it is 50 bucks so much cheaper than other bassinets, helps with colic/gerd if they have it, and is approved for infant to sleep in and it can stay right by your bed. they are awesome!
ReplyDeleteps. your blog is so cute! congrats on having a girl!!!
The elephants are so cute! I remember registering...there were so many things to think about. My best advice is to register for big and small items. You never know what people will want to get you. Also, don't register too many outfits, at least not in "newborn" sizes. Gowns are the best (and easiest for nighttime changes) at first.
ReplyDeleteLove all these nursery idea! I think I have some of them pinned as well :) planning a nursery is fun, yet overwhelming!
ReplyDeleteI saw the ultrasound canvas today on pinterest and immediately thought of you!! Such good ideas all around =) What an exciting time for your family!
ReplyDeleteso much great inspiration here! i love that ultrasound canvas...i've never seen one of those. you should deinitely get one! the elephants are so cute...that crib skirt is gonna be adorable! and your bump looks precious in polka dots :)
ReplyDeleteoh my gosh the elephants!! we are obsessed with them over here, the hubs says its baby C's power animal :) love all your ideas:)
ReplyDeleteA swing is a MUST (we had the Fisher Price one that looked like a lamb). A crib is not necessary right away if you're gonna use a bassinet or co-sleeper. I'd recommend not getting too many newborn sizes in clothes other than onesies and pants. Quinn didn't really wear a dress for a few weeks because we were home all the time recovering.
ReplyDeleteOoh, and I'd recommend the Safety First baby nail kit they have at Wal-Mart. It's nervewracking doing that the first time, but it gets easier. Then it gets harder when they can run away from you.
the elephants are too cute and I absolutely love the ultrasound picture on canvas. I wish I had seen that way back when, it really is a great keepsake! You look fantastic as always, polka dots are def your thing!
ReplyDeleteSo so cute... you are darling. Love all the elephants!
ReplyDeleteLove the elephant print! So adorable for the baby's room :) What accent colors are thinking? And yay for baby shower!!! That is the best part! haha
ReplyDeleteLove all your ideas and can't wait to see your crib skirt. That ultrasound turned canvas is so cool, never seen anything like that before. Good luck registering.....my suggestion would be to do a little at a time. We have gone on three different weekends to work on ours and it makes it sooooooo much less overwhelming!
ReplyDeleteIt must be so exciting to be prepping for your baby! The nursery ideas look so cute. ^^
ReplyDeleteA swing is an absolute must have. A boppy pillow will make nursing easier. And the one thing I wish I had with the kiddo (and will definitely get for the next one if it ever comes along) is a Bumbo seat. We have never used a high chair - we started with a booster for the big chair and that is all we needed. (My little guy was sitting up on his own at 4 months so he didn't need the extra support. If you get one - just leave it in the box - you won't need it until 6 months anyway and you can decide then.) Also after about a week we got rid of the diaper genie. It was easier to just take the stinky ones outside (because they stunk up the room even in the genie) and throw the wet ones on the bathroom trash.
ReplyDeleteI love your nursery ideas - can't wait to see how it turns out. :)
I LOVE your style because it is stuff that I would actually wear. You are so adorable.
ReplyDeleteDecorating a nursery is so much fun! Love the u/s canvas idea. And I've heard good things about tiny prints!
ReplyDeleteUmbrella stroller that has a basket underneath!
ReplyDeleteLove your outfit, especially the polka dot top with the fun ruffle!
ReplyDeleteGreat fabric for the crib skirt! You're so crafty - so many cute things planned!! Can't wait to see them.
I can't wait to see what you are going to do with the nursery! I love all of the elephant stuff, including that invite. So cute! I'm loving your outfit, it looks comfortable and put together!
ReplyDeleteCute canvas! And hey, the pants are cute so wear them away!
ReplyDeleteI loved my boppy pillow, Skip Hop diaper bag, Hooter Hider nursing cover and a Bumbo seat. Oh and mya favorite, a Fisher Price booster seat ( we didn't get a high chair). Have fun registering!
LOOOVE LOVE LOVE the ultrasound print!!!! Definitely a MUST!!!
ReplyDeleteThat ultrasound canvas is ADORABLE! I can't wait to hear how registering goes! Have a great weekend friend!

I love the ultrasound to canvas idea!! How cool!! So many things to do, of course after my nursery is done!!
ReplyDeleteYou should check out Little Laws Prints for invites too. I've never used her, but have seen her stuff and it's adorable!!
I'm sorry if it's been said, I haven't read the other comments, but one thing I cannot live without is our video baby monitor!! I still have a camera in our 2 1/2 year olds room and joke that I'll have it in there until they move out!!! My hubby just did a post on the monitor system we use (he's a techy, so it's more than most people need) but you can read it at www.ihatepeas.com it's his last post.
Hmmm, I didn't use it with my first baby, but with our second I used a miracle swaddling blanket. He would NOT sleep longer than an hour without being wrapped tight. He's still in a woombie right now, but I'm trying to break him out of that habit one arm out to start.
I'm sure you're getting a ton of ideas, so I won't bombard you but if I think of a necessity I'll let you know!!

Oh, one more thing, if you're looking for a stroller and you're planning on having more children maybe consider getting a double stroller to start with. We didn't. We get this great, amazing, all bells and whistles stroller (Waaaay to expensive) for our first. Then we got pregnant with our second and wanted a double. Our first stroller was in great condition but we couldn't even sell it for half if what we paid!! The stroller we have now is the Britax B Ready. You can use it as a single, tandem double, with a toddler seat and a baby bucket seat. I love it, it's amazing!!
ReplyDeleteCharlie's nursery was elephants as well. This is making me remember all of his little baby stuff (he'll be three next week). Oh my!! LOVE elephants!
ReplyDeleteOhhhh....baby stuff. I could go on for hours. If you have a question, feel free to ask me. I loved registering for my wedding, but was completely overwhelmed with all the baby stuff. Why is there SO much stuff?? ahhh!!! So if you come to a crossroads...this paci or that paci? :) just ask!!
I love that out fit...I have a thing for ruffles...you look great! And I can't wait to see your nursery come together! So excited for you guys :)
ReplyDeleteI love the elephant theme; it's so cute! I'm getting so excited for you guys! Just a few more months!!!! Happy weekend sweetie!
ReplyDeleteThe elephant theme you have going on is adorable! That closet is organized perfectly...it makes me want to clean out my own closet, haha! Happy Friday!

ReplyDeleteBoth of my babies slept really well (in the first few months) if they were swaddled realllly tightly in a SwaddleMe swaddler. Avi actually slept in hers until she was nearly a year old! lol
