I may even have to go as far as saying I hate being nauseous more than I hate the dentist.
And that is a big statement for me to make.
1. Seeing the word McRib on the McDonalds sign a few times a day. I've never even had one, but just the word made me want to throw up.
2. Walking into the kids' bathroom at school. Not a pleasant smell.
3. Opening my fridge. Regardless what was in there, it never smelled good.
4. Taking those gigantic prenatal vitamins.
5. Flossing my teeth, which only happened twice the first two or three months. And brushing my teeth was a struggle too. My oral hygiene definitely suffered during this time. Yet another reason to hate the dentist.
I do have to say, that although still a little nauseous the second trimester is proving to be much better than the first. I have a little more energy and am filled with more excitement and less anxiety. It is starting to feel more and more real that I am having a baby!
Cute bump girl! You wear pregnancy well. :)
ReplyDeleteThe word McRib is so nasty. haha. That makes me want to gag...
ReplyDeleteThe McRib could make anyone vomit. Now they have fish mcnuggets.. grosss!
ReplyDeleteHave you tried the preggie pops for nausea?
I hope this means that the worst is behind you :).
ReplyDeleteAnd seriously how did the term "morning sickness" come to be if so many pregnant women have said it happens at any time during the day? They need to fix that.
You look gorgeous!
oh, wow! congrats, girl! you look fabulous! :)
ReplyDeleteyay for more energy!! Happy to hear you're doing so well despite the occasional nausea. With my first I never experienced it but with my second, oh boy...it stayed til the very end! Loving the boots and necklace, you look great!
ReplyDeleteGlad that you're feeling better friend!!! Progress!!!

Oh my goodness! I have heard stories about "triggers" of morning sickness, but it is so hard to imagine. My sister got nauseous from having anything touch her neck -- crazy hormones! Hope you start feeling better soon!

Love this outfit - hope the nausea is all gone soon! Not a fun part of pregnancy for sure. :)
ReplyDelete2. I can't deal with it. I'll only use it first thing in the morning, when it's freshly cleaned. Otherwise, I make the trek to the lounge (yes, I leave them alone and all..usually there's an aide in my room anyway). I thought I was the only one this affected!
ReplyDeleteThe words Mc and Rib should be illegal. Disgusting.
ReplyDeleteI feel your pain. Just hit 12 weeks and am hoping for an end to the nausea and an increase in appetite. So glad 2nd tri is treating you nicer!
My oral hygiene has suffered, as well. When Elena sees me brushing my teeth she fake gags. Imitating me. Awesome!
Looking adorable, as usual!
I'm so glad that you're starting to feel better :)
ReplyDeleteAnd I am loving the pop of green that the bubble necklace is giving your outfit!
xo
LOVE thy outfit!! Adorable!!
ReplyDeleteMcRib does sound pretty disgusting!!
I'm glad things are finally starting to seem real!! Makes sense why they wouldn't for a while!!
Glad to hear the worst is behind you! Although I didn't experience morning sickness to the degree that you did brushing my teeth and the thought of mexican food made me gag though most of the first tri. Which was weird considering the first few weeks I actually CRAVED mexican!
ReplyDeleteIt's truly not fun!
ReplyDeleteYou look great! And yay for being pregnant!
I love your necklace! I too suffered from "morning" sickness, it's absolutely horrible. Preggie pops or halls vitamin c hard candies helped so much. If it gets too bad ask your doctor for Zofran, mine got so bad that I lost a ton of weight with all the throwing up. Zofran saved me.
ReplyDeleteDude, I totally hear you. I'm not even pregnant and the very THOUGHT of those dang McRibs get my gag reflexes going! NASTY! Who likes those?
ReplyDeleteYou look gorgeous - just know that you'll feel better soon enough...and if you don't feel better soon, then you'll have a beautiful babe to show for your efforts!
LOVE YOU!

A Discolored picture of chicken mcnuggets on the menu board made me nauseous, as well as anything from subway... If I saw a discarded cup from there or a billboard or commercial, I thought I would hurl.. Any meat from the store would send me over the edge too.. I did better with a different brand of the prenatal vitamins.... I didn't have any queasiness with baby number two!! :) I bet that is how it will be with you as well!!! :) :) :) we are all so happy for you!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI know....I always felt it the worst in the afternoon. It's crazy how one word can set you off.....ugh!
ReplyDeleteYou poor thing...I hope you feel better now being in your second trimester! I always think about how I'll do it as a teacher. I hate using the same bathroom as the kids. Dun dun duh.
ReplyDeleteI hate being nauseous more than anything! I was fortunate not to have much morning sickness, but I had to eat something every hour in order to avoid it! That was not helpful for the weight gain :) Loving the boots and the necklace!
ReplyDeleteYou're adorable! I love this dress & belt. So cute :)
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you are doing a bit better, I hope it keeps on the upswing Ps. You are CRAZY to pose outside in the snow, brrrr!!

Okay, I am far from being prego, had a tubal and am almost 45...McRib would make me barf too! LOL My biggest problem during my pregnancies was nose bleeds! UGH!!! Oh, and the smell of fish!! Had to by-pass that section of Whole Foods. Hang in there!!!
ReplyDeleteyou will hate me for this.. but you have to go to the dentist before you have your baby.. your teeth are one of the things that give to your baby.. so you have to make sure you get a checkup between the second and third trimester.. its not fun at all.. but ya gotta do it..
ReplyDeleteYou ARE having a baby! Woohoo! :-D I couldn't even brush my teeth the first couple months of each of my pregnancies... No point anyways, when you just end up throwing up. But it's worth it. ;-)
ReplyDeletehmmm McRib is a pretty ugly word now that I think about it! Anyways, cute outfit though, I love the bright necklace:)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you are starting to feel better! Love this dress on you and your bump :)

you are SO cute!! it's so strange - i was SUPER sick my first trimester and then it started to taper off around week 11, but all of a sudden this past week (week 14-15) i am back to being sick as a dog. i'm like, what's up with that?! and ew. mcrib. disgusting.
ReplyDeleteThe word McRib will forever gross me out and I'm no where near being pregnant. I saw another phrase on the McDs sign this weekend that I will refrain from typing but it was possibly even worse than McRib...
ReplyDeleteYou look adorable! Aw, it will all be worth it in the end. And seriously, I think McRibs make a lot of people throw up, pregnant or not! :)

ReplyDeleteI am really sorry that you are feeling sick. I am sure it will go away soon. Feel better. COngrats :)
ReplyDeleteMcRibs to seem totally disgusting.
ReplyDeleteYou have an adorable bump :)
It is so ironic that prenatal vitamins seem to induce nausea. Can't they make them like one of those delicious drink powders that taste delicious?
New follower :)
i didn't read all the comments so someone may have already said this, but they have gummy prenatal vitamins... (target, walmart, winco) probably anywhere really. anyway, they SAVED MY LIFE!! i didn't take prenatals my first trimester because they made me sick, but try the gummy ones, they won't disappoint :)
ReplyDeleteAwww you poor thing! I heard that part of morning sickness is low blood sugar/glucose levels, so I would be screwed with my Hypoglycemia. Hope you don't have it much anymore!
ReplyDeleteLove the look with the belt! Sorry to hear you had a rough couple months at the beginning but glad that you're doing so much better now.
ReplyDeleteJust seeing the word McRib written anywhere makes me want to gag as well!
ReplyDeleteI am glad to hear you are feeling better!
Praying for you.
ReplyDeleteamen to all. hated vitamins hated them. you can take Flintstones chewables ( ask your dr ;) .lol and captain crunch ( normal not peanut butter ) has all your daily folic acid need in one bowl ;) just sayin. unless that makes you sick lol.
ReplyDeletesmells are the worst.
