tee and skirt: target
One of my favorite things about maxi skirts (besides them being SO comfortable) is that they seem just about perfect for most summer activities. I wore this on Sunday to church, then grocery shopping, then on a little day date with Chris.
We are trying to take advantage of any weekends and time we have to do things with just the two of us as we wait for our baby girl. Sunday was a perfect day to go have a picnic in Lake Geneva.
It was also a perfect day to try out the new SnapTea drink. We stopped at Walmart before we left to buy it (find a coupon for it here) and picked up some other picnic necessities like a cooler, cups and ice.
I was really happy when I saw the diet green tea flavor as I would rather save my calories on dessert (are you surprised by that?) and this has zero calories and was delicious! If green tea isn't your favorite, they also have a Lemonade flavor, which I'm sure is just as good. Plus the whole gallon was under $3. Multiple wins in my book!
Another win is having someone to carry your groceries for you. :)
We packed our cooler and headed to Lake Geneva. Lake Geneva is the cutest little tourist town in Wisconsin, about 45 minutes from us. We love going there, especially on a beautiful summer day.
We stopped by our favorite cheese shop on the way and picked up some cheese and fresh bread. When we got there we found a perfect shady spot near the water, set up our lawn chairs and enjoyed our food and drinks.
I seriously had three glasses of this tea - it was so good! (The not good part was the 45 minute drive home with my 9 month pregnant need to go the bathroom.) I am not a big hot tea drinker, but am a fan of this sweat tea.
It was so nice to sit around, read a little, people watch a lot and just spend time together. I can't wait to go back to Lake Geneva at the end of the summer, but with a baby in a stroller.
